What to expect with Cupping

  • Initial Consultation.

During an initial cupping consultation, you can expect a thorough discussion about your medical history, current health concerns, and treatment goals. We will explain how cupping works, what the procedure involves, and what benefits you might expect. You'll have an opportunity to ask questions and address any concerns before the treatment begins.

  • Treatment.

During the treatment, cups will be placed on your skin, usually on your back or shoulders, creating a vacuum effect that draws the skin and tissues into the cup. The cups are left in place for 5 to 15 minutes, allowing for increased blood flow and muscle relaxation. The overall experience is typically relaxing, with a focus on relieving tension and promoting healing.

  • Post Treatment.

After a cupping treatment, you can expect to feel a sense of relief in the treated areas, but you might also experience some temporary discomfort. The suction created by the cups can leave circular marks or bruises on your skin, which are typically painless and fade within a few days. These marks are a normal part of the treatment and indicate the release of toxins and improved blood flow to the area. It's also common to feel relaxed or even a bit lightheaded after the session, so it's a good idea to rest and hydrate well afterward. Avoiding strenuous activities for the rest of the day can help enhance the benefits of the treatment.
